Tünde Šipoš Živić,
Croatia
Tünde Šipoš Živić (43) lives in her native village of Novi Bezdan in Baranja, a settlement in Croatia with a majority Hungarian population. She is Hungarian by nationality. Because her village was occupied during the war in 1991, she did not feel the democratic changes in Croatia. Instead she experienced a new dictatorship, and a loss of minority rights. For her real democratic changes only happened in 1998 with the peaceful reintegration of the occupied Croatian territories. Nowadays she is working as a curator in the Museum of Slavonia, Osijek.
